Dietary protein for ruminants is largely supplied by the rumen flora. For the flora to synthesize proteins, nitrogen must be supplied at the same time as the carbon chains. Methionine is one of the most limiting amino-acid for lactating ruminants. For efficient use, it needs to be rumino-protected while its intestinal absorption has to be maximized. The management of DCAD (Dietary Cations Anions Difference) contributes to the prevention of hypocalcemia around parturition. The protected anionic salt SIPECAL lowers the BACA while preserving the palatability of the diet and therefore the level of ingestion of the animal. Laboratory tests have highlighted its ease of use: low reactivity and low hygroscopicity.  These physical properties coupled with its strong palatability make it a product of choice for antepartum diets.

Not even 25% of ingested unsaturated fatty acids (UFA) are not modified in the rumen and reach the small intestine in their original efficient chemical form. SIPELIN is the result of a special protection to avoid the ruminal biohydrogenation. Its provides high content of rumino-protected Omega-3 Fatty Acids.
